Autism is a multifaceted disorder that can affect an
individual’s behavioral, educational, and daily living capacities. To help address
the needs of people with autism, the Autism Center offers quality
diagnostic services and works with a variety of existing agencies. Using a
multidisciplinary approach, the center is designed to provide medical, psychometric, and
nutritional support services to affected individuals and their families in conjunction
with existing services. The center will provide
diagnostic evaluation and medical therapy
for all autistic patients referred by the Missouri Autism Project, the Judevine Center,
other physicians, health-care agencies, parents, and schools. The center is funded in part
by the Missouri Department of Mental Health. Autism Center
